I started working on my first narrative film at age 78. Not many people do that. But when Covid arrived, I had to quit my part-time job. My short screenplay HOUNDED was begging to be a short film. My mom’s business savvy hugely influenced me; she started selling real estate at age 65. Before that she’d been a business partner with my dad and/or her oldest sister.
I’m ready for creative collaborations – as a former broadcaster, marketing specialist, emerging playwright and screenwriter, and now filmmaker. My leadership also includes live theater productions in 3 states, and at every church where I was a member. In Central Florida, I co-founded a 501c3 which put up some big numbers for emerging women playwrights in Southeast states, while we produced their World Premieres. Only 16% of plays by women were getting stage time in Central Florida then. I have no plans to slow down. I’m out to change the world with quality work.
We humans avoid forgiveness and reconciliation, while loneliness and anger are literally killing people.
